Dear Cooperating Teacher,
My name is Chelsey Sharpe. I am very excited to be pre-interning in your classroom! I have a love for science and history. In fact, I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Brandon University. I do have teaching experience, when I attended Brandon University, I instructed at a summer day camp called Mini University. At this camp, I taught the campers about animal diversity and proper dissection techniques. I also enjoy hiking, traveling, and being with my two-year-old son.
Like every person, I do have some weaknesses that I would like to work on in your classroom. One of my weaknesses is in English Language Arts. I hope to learn from you on how you teach when you’re not very knowledgeable in a certain area. From my experience in your classroom, I also hope to learn some of your tricks on classroom management, and how to teach using differential instruction. On September 30th and October 1st, I will be attending a treaty education workshop being held at the university. I hope to be able to use this new knowledge in your classroom.
I would like to thank you in advance for having me in your classroom. If you would like to contact me, you can reach me at xxx-xxx-xxxx. I look forward to meeting you and your students.
Thank you again,
University of Regina Pre-internship Student
